    Description

Alright guys, this is the boat you have been looking for!!!!
This one needsABSOLUTLY NOTHING. It is 100% water ready, lake tested, set up and ready to go! With all of the current repairs/maintenance this is a smokin' deal on a near perfect boat. Buy today and "be on the water tomorrow"
This is a 1999 Baja Boss 272. It is powered by a ProCharged 502 MAG that is estimated to be between 650-700 h.p. With a light load this is a solid 70mph + boat (gps) at 5500’elevation likely even faster at lower alt. with a prop change. It planes out and rides very nice. It is VERY CLEAN inside and out. 2-3
    very minor
flaws but overall I would consider this boat to be a 9.5+ out of 10, inside, outside, mechanically and everything in between, especially for it’s age. This is a two owner boat that has been a freshwater boat since new, it was sold new in Colorado and has been Wyoming registered for at least the last 10 years. Clean and clear title in hand for easy transfer of ownership.
It has just had a pile of work completed this season that I will itemize below and it is now ready for many more years of trouble free operation with no risk of these refreshed items needing any attention any time soon.
The hour meter in the tach shows 372 hours as pictured but the engine computer shows 293 hours when scanned, also pictured. I confirmed that the hour meter in the tach still ticks a way if the key is on and the engine is not running, so that explains that discrepancy, but either way this is a VERY LOW TIME boat/engine that has been well cared for it’s whole life!!!!
I am a boat dealer and ended up with this boat on trade. It was in need of some normal maintenance work that would be fully expected on any boat of this age. All of this work was professionally completed here at my dealership, it has since been fully water tested and all running parameters verified on scanner for safe/trouble free operation.
The biggest issues this boat had was that it took on a little bit of water. We determined it was the transom seal that was leaking (no big surprise) but that meant the engine was coming out……. I have a little bit of a problem with not knowing when to quit so here is a list of everything that was done/replaced, serviced, etc.
    ·
Removed complete engine and drive for transom seal replacement
    ·
Performed a cylinder leakdown test with engine removed. It checked out perfect at 5-7% on all 8 cylinders
    ·
Every rubber part on transom was replaced: transom seal, all bellows, shift cable, trim senders, water tube etc.
    ·
    Automatic bilge pump replaced
    ·
    2 new batteries installed
    ·
Extensive cleaning of bilge with engine removed
    ·
    Cleaned/flushed intercooler
    ·
Added a good sea strainer and required plumbing for SC intercooler
    ·
Cleaned up/repaired/replaced any hoses, fuel line or wiring that needed any attention
    ·
All internal exhaust tubes and flappers were replaced
    ·
Captains call diverters were cleaned/repowdercoated and look brand new
    ·
Brand new Stainless Marine exhaust manifolds and tailpipes were installed
    ·
All fuel injectors were cleaned and flow/balance tested
    ·
    Water pump impeller was replaced
    ·
    All fluids and filters changed
When all the repairs were complete the boat was lake tested with o2 sensors and engine scanner installed to ensure safe operating parameters while under full load/boost. AFR’s are on the safe and there is no knock retard detected under full power so this is a safe trouble free setup. It could possibly be optimized just a bit more for more power, but I would MUCH rather have a safe/dependable setup on something like this.
This boat has all of “the standard stuff” I would expect to see on a boat like this. Through transom exhaust, boarding ladder, pop up cleats, trim tabs, power hatch, drop out bolsters, dual batteries with switch, mooring cover, heavy duty trailer with brakes and a spare. It is also equipped with Corsa Captain’s Call silent choice exhaust which is a welcome feature for me on this style boat. I like to make noise as much as the next guy but it sure is nice to have the option of turning it off around the docks so you can more easily communicate with people on the dock trying to help out at the gas dock or while launching or loading the boat. Look at all the pictures, they pretty much speak for themselves. If you have any questions just ask, I monitor my listings pretty closely. I will do my best to get back to you a.s.a.p.
I can possibly assist with delivery to the south or east around the end of Oct. if that helps. No guarantee that it will work out, and and it will not be free, but it will be pretty easy. If that is something that interests you let me know and we can work out the details. I am also happy to do what I can on my end to assist you with shipping if needed, but all shipping cost will obviously be at the buyers expense.
Contact through eBay is best for me. I can be reached by phone as well though if you prefer @ 307-265-0179. I am not interested in any low ball offers. This boat is worth my asking price (probably more) Boats this clean in this price range do not come along often. If you are looking at this you probably already know that though ; )
I do not need to sell it right now and will have no problem holding onto it until spring if I have to.
    PLEASE READ MY FEEDBACK!!!!!!!!
I am very proud of it. I work hard to bring great products "to the market" at fair prices. You may find "cheaper" but that does not always cost less. Do your homework and make a smart buy.
