Description
Finest quality Amadou. Absolute natural, it is a spongy material derived from Fomes foment arias fungi and have the appearance of a horse's hoof (thus the name "horse fungus) It has an unbelievable absorbent capacity and it the best material to dry flies in nature. Especially flies made with CDC. They work well with your midge flies. They just work really well with any fly. I personally made these from leather and amadou that I get from Europe. They vary in thickness and are much thicker than the others. They measure 1 3/4 by 2 inches Google Amadou if you are not familiar with the fungus that is hammered to make the material.Try one you will not be disappointed. The photo of this native brookie is a direct result from using my fly drier. ;-) Be sure to wash your fly after each fish caught and always knock off excess water before squeezing it. That will add life to your patch. Do not expose to rain as it will not recover. Thanks for looking
