You are bidding on an antique French Model 1866 Chassepot Yataghan sword bayonet Second Empire era. This one was made in St. Etienne in 1869. In nice condition, some dark areas on the blade, scabbard re-issued serial modified to match the bayonet. Mechanism works. The bayonet is 27.5 from which the blade is 22.5. Nice bayonet.
