    Description

    This is an original Model 1899 dark blue wool Artillery Artificer/Mechanic Brassard worn on the sleeve.
    A artificer/mechanic worked on arms, weapons, and machinery.
    The shape of the crossed hammers date it to 1899-1902.  The red color of the hammers indicate that it is for the Artillery.
    It is in excellent unissued condition with no tears, holes or moth damage.  The stitching is tight and strong.
    This large wool felt brassard measures 10½ inches by 5½ inches.
    This is a beautiful unissued brassard of the Indian War and Spanish American War period to add to your collection!
