Cavalry Lance Corporal - M1872 Chevron - Original Indian Wars

Description

A Model 1872 chevron for the Cavalry Lance Corporal.
This bright yellow chevron has dark blue stitching.
It was used from 1872 to 1902.
This large wool chevron was worn on the upper sleeve.
It is in excellent condition, with no tears, holes or moth damage.  The silk chain stitching is tight and strong. It has some slight staining at the chevron point, since it has not been cleaned.
