Beautiful Cowan Pottery (Rocky River, OH) bookends, designed by Margaret Postgate. These Futura-style geometric sculptures are just plain fun--and introduced to the Cowan Pottery line about 1929 (the same year as Roseville Futura, Weller Lorbeek, Muncie Ruba Rombic, etc.). They measure about 6" tall and are both marked, although one more prominently than the other.
This waxy ivory glaze, with hints of both yellow and pink, is called Primrose. Really enhances this design.
Factory new condition except for some extremely teensy scratches on one corner (shown in a closeup photo). You would never, ever see this spot if I had not called your attention to it. Absolutely no nicks, chips, hairlines, or repairs.
    Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
