Description
FREE SHIPPINGCowan Pottery art deco figurine "Introspection" (1930), designed by Albert Drexler Jacobson. Glazed in the desirable Black coloring, which is also the glaze we usually encounter on this perennial favorite (if you can find one!). These sell fast... and then stay in the various collections.
Measures about 8.25" tall. No nicks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. Do note that there is a small factory firing line across the foot ring at one point, which does not go into the body of the piece and is also completely unseen when on display. There are also two small areas (under his upraised claw and under his tail) where the glaze is a bit thin, as shown in the closeups. But these are all factory... Original condition, as when brand-new in 1929 or 1930.
