Original Indian War Era US Army Pattern 1887 Hospital Corps Knife 1st Type w/Leather Belt Loop- Original - Excellent Condition - RARE
Up for auction is an Original Indian War Era US Army Pattern 1887 Hospital Corps Knife Leather Scabbard. This is the 1st Type with the leather belt loop. The leather is soft and supple, no cracking or crazing. Some wrinkling at the belt loop. The seams and tip are tight, no fraying or separation. The brass throat has nice clean patina. It is marked: Watervliet Arsenal on the front with inspector initals on the rear. This scabbard has not seen much, if any use. It is in Excellent Condition. Please see photo's for details.
