    Description

    "Three engravings extracted from the iconic ""Harper's Weekly"", all depicting scenes from US military engagements with indigenous tribes of the west.
    1.  The first is extracted from the November 16, 1867 issue, and includes two engravings.  The captions are as follows: ""Indian Lodge at Medicine Creek, Kansas - Scene of the Late Indian Peace Council"", and ""Council at Medicine Creek Lodge with the Kiowa and Comanche Indians"".  Measures 15.75"" x 10.5"".  In very good- condition.  Two closed 1/2-inch tears at bottom edge, some wear along former binding edge, light soiling, and two faint crease-line.  Mild age-toning throughout.
    2.  Extracted from the December 16, 1876 edition.  Includes three engravings depicting scenes from ""The Sioux War"".  Measures 15.75"" x 10.5"".  In very good condition.  Mild age-toning throughout.
    3.  Extracted from the April 7, 1877 edition.  A collage of engravings, captioned ""General Miles's Winter campaign Against the Indians"".  Measures 15.75"" x 10.5"".  In very good condition, with only light age-toning.  "
