    Description

    This auction is for a rare original antique "D" handle Bowie fighting knife made during the Indian Wars era, 1870's to 1890's, marked: MARTINDALE - BIRMINGHAM - NO.175 - and showing a part of the Crocodile Works logo. This classic Bowie knife has a tight hardwood handle and a 13" clip point Bowie encapsulated full tang carbon steel blade with a thin blood groove. The metal on the blade and D part of the handle is pitted from rust with a dark patina but overall this knife is still in good condition for approx. 140 years of age.  Please zoom in on all pictures for details. The total length is approx. 18" and it weighs 1 lb. 1 oz.
