You are bidding on a Springfield Trapdoor lock plate assembly for the 45-70 caliber rifles or carbines.
The lock plate has the eagle and is marked US Springfield.
Some of the internal parts are marked with numbers or letters as pictured.
The hammer work smoothly and locks in three positions.
The blue finish is thinning.
