Description
At significant savings, we are offering, for sale, two spaces in the Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Mausoleum is located in the beautiful, timeless elegance of Memorial Park Cemetery, "behind the stone wall" on Poplar Avenue in East Memphis, Tennessee. The Mausoleum is completely sold out. If space was available, the price, as of 2015, for the two spaces would be ,252. The cost would be significantly more today, in 2022. We are asking ,499 for the two spaces. Memorial Park stipulates that a transfer fee of 5.00 must be paid at the time of the transaction, and must be paid by the buyer. However, we will reimburse the buyer for the transfer fee of 5.00 at the time of transfer in cash or certified check- buyer’s choice. The private sale and transfer of deed for the property would take place in the offices of Memorial Park Cemetery, and would be officiated by a Memorial Park Agent and a notary, in the presence of the buyer and seller.
The property is described as "Cemetery complete." This means that, in addition to the physical spaces, the purchase includes two openings and closings, the crypt plate with names and appropriate information engraved, and perpetual care of the property.
These two spaces are in tandem, so there would be one crypt plate on which both names and information would be engraved.
These spaces are located in the Garden of Sunrise section of the Mausoleum, # 19 and 20, on level B. We are asking ,499 for these two spaces, which would cost more than ,252.00 from Memorial Park today, if they were available.
Visit Memorial Park, enjoy the gorgeous, well-kept grounds, the Crystal Shrine Grotto, the many gardens and fountains, the mature, shade providing trees, and tour the Mausoleum area of the cemetery. The cemetery is beautiful at any time of the year, but, my favorite times to visit are Spring and Fall because of the colorful plantings throughout the cemetery, as well as the color of the abundant trees and shrubs. Memorial Park is a favorite with both professional and amateur photographers because of the many lovely areas for staging pictures. The annual Easter Sunrise Service has been a favorite of my family since I was a preschooler. The many benches and grassy knolls, under massive trees, provide a place to sit, relax, and meditate, away from the bustle and noise of the busy city and highways just outside the cemetery's stone wall. I believe Memorial Park is Memphis’ most beautiful cemetery and is where several generations of my husband’s and my family are buried. We, however, have changed our plans, choosing to have a military burial. We would be honored to help you save some of the costly but necessary expenses in your time of sorrow or when planning for the future.
