Description
S132I, Blue webbed, adapted for use with an antique 16 ga shotgun as that is the caliber of these shown, I guess somebody down the line liked the belt for his 16 ga use, since they fit, that's how we found it anyway, 20 ga were the correct cartridges for the 1881 Springfield trapdoor foragers issue shotgun, importantly the matching brass belt plate is embossed with the insignia of the famous Custer outfit of the 7th Cavalry, INSCRIPTION ON REVERSE READS "military arms equipments & ordnance stores m. hartley co 313 & 315 broadway ny", still contains 11 cartridges for a 16 ga forager of the period, super rare item as an original not to mention the affiliation with the famous 7th! Albeit 10 years after the little big horn event, shows typical wear and tear but remains sound and complete, original. Ship weight is 3 pounds.***ANTIQUE SHELLS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH A PURCHASE OBVIOUSLY**
