Otterbein is split between Benton and Tippecanoe Counties in West Central Indiana, about 12 miles west of Lafayette-the home of PURDUE UNIVERSITY. The advertising details are:

" as it carried the largest load of corn to the elevator any wagon undertook in a similar contest."
"This extraordinary load of 238 bushels and 40 lbs. was hauled from
Frank E. Frazier's Stock Farm
, 5 1/2 miles southwest of
OTTERBEIN
to the
DUFFY &
HARRINGTON Elevator
on a
STITZ
Wagon. The wagon was one of our regular make and was not built especially for this contest".
