    An original copy of the United States Army lectures on "MILITARY GEOGRAPHY", delivered before the officers at the  Infantry and Cavalry School, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, published 1895, in use during the period of the Indian Wars and Spanish American War.....Owned by Colonel William Lassiter, a career officer serving from the Indian Wars to the first World War, who was wounded in the charge at San Juan Hill, Cuba, 1898, and retired with the rank of Brigadier General in 1922. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
