US Indian Wars M1878 Haversack Ruck Pack Unit Marked Rock Island Replaced Strap.

Description

For sale here is a good looking US Indian Wars Period M1878 Haversack.  This one is unit marked with a great US stamping, and a legible maker's stamp.  Unfortunately, the pack has had one of the shoulder straps replaced and is missing the left side button.  There is no hardware on the replaced strap.  The US stamping is strong and crisp.  The pack is marked with an A over the US, and a number 48 below it.  The pack shows wear, carry, soiling, and some rusting to the metal parts, but is in strong condition.  This will display well.  This is a neat piece to add to your collection.
