You are bidding on a US Springfield USN Trapdoor 45-70 socket bayonet, scabbard and frog.
The bayonet is 21 inches long.
The bayonet muzzle ring inside measurement is 0.75 inches and tapers to 0.7240 inches.
The finish is blue but is thinning.
It is marked US, S.
The scabbard is metal and the blue finish and is turning a plumb color.
The frog is leather and is flexible but is cracking and pealing.
The leather is fragile.
The brass belt hanger is marked USN and does rotate.
