Wyandotte Red Ranger Clicker Pistol
Made by All metal Products Co/Wyandotte Toys, circa late 1940s to early 1950s. Stamped steel with lithograph finish. Approx. 7-3/4” long.
This lithographed metal clicker gun still makes a loud “click” every time the trigger is pulled. Both sides of the gun are marked: “Red Ranger” just above the grips with a head image of the character. Red Ranger was a fictitious Western character created by Wyandotte to sell toy guns (cheaper than licensing a real Western hero). The left sidef this gun has a circular “Wyandotte Toys, Made in USA” logo.
This gun has seen some play wear but still has most of the original finish. The left side cylinder has some scratches and spots of light surface rust. There are other small scratches and scuffs elsewhere (see photos) but the character images and most of the rest of the finish is in good shape.
This gun will make an interesting addition to any Western toy gun collection.
