    Description

Offered here is this original, WWII, painted, 1 1/8" diameter, wood button, part of a Quaker Oats premium set promoting the popular radio program, Terry & the Pirates. In 1943, along with this button, you received a "mascot" photo of a North American, B-25 Mitchell bomber as evidence your name appeared on a roll of microfilm urging the B-25 pilot to "Drop one on the Japs and Nazis for Me". This button is made of wood, in compliance with the wartime metal use restrictions. The paint is still bright and the button is undamaged. The original wire shank is still present. Survival rate was likely not high for these, making it fairly scarce to find one today, especially in this condition!  First one I have had.  Offered with no hidden reserve and a low starting bid.  Buyer to pay First Class post and insurance. (3.75) Combined post on multiple purchases.  Three-day inspection/ return on all items I offer if not as described.  US shipping only.   Thanks.
